Channel 4 commissions Pete Versus Life  

Channel 4 has fast-tracked Comedy Showcase pilot Pete Versus Life to a complete five part series. The show stars Rafe Spall as a journalist called Pete whose every move is observed by sports commentators.

Written by Ben Tyler-Moore and George Jeffrie (co-writers of Channel 4 hit comedy Star Stories) and made by the producers of the multi-award-winning Peep Show.

The show will broadcast on Channel 4 at 10pm on Friday 6th August.

 
   
Rose D'Or nominations announced  
Objective Productions has received three nominations in this year's Rose D'Or awards. They are: The Cube for Best Game Show, The Kevin Bishop Show for Best Comedy and Pete Versus Life for Best Sitcom.  
   
The Real Hustle: Celebrity Scammers  

The massive success of the format both in the UK and overseas has led to the BBC commissioning another two series. Series 9, The Real Hustle Celebrity Scammers will TX on 29th July at 10.30pm with a double bill.

Hustlers Alex Conran, Jess Clement and Paul Wilson lift the lid on the most devious scams to target the British public. They are joined by celebrity guests, who are thrown in at the deep end to become a part of The Real Hustle team without any training or preparation.

 
   
BBC One comedy show: John Bishop's Britain  

Liverpudlian comedian John Bishop finishes his first series on BBC1, a mix of stand-up sketches and real-life stories from members of the British public. Ratings were excellent with viewers above 3 million each week.

Executive producers for Objective are Derek McLean and Lee Hupfield and the BBC commissioning executive is Karl Warner.

 
   
The Cube is recommissioned by ITV1  

ITV1's latest Saturday night primetime game show, The Cube - a futuristic physical gameshow - has been recommissioned for a second series. In addition to the public testing their skills against The Cube, the series will also include some celebrity specials. To be broadcast early Autumn.

 
   
Reggie Perrin Series 2  

Reggie Perrin is coming back to our screens in autumn of this year. Martin Clunes will return as the eponymous everyman and both Simon Nye and original creator David Nobbs will again join forces to pen the new episodes. The 6 x 30-minute series will be filmed in front of a live studio audience.

Producer is Ben Farrell and executive producers are Simon Wilson for the BBC and Phil Clarke for Objective.

The new series finds suburban sales executive Reggie Perrin back from the brink with a new zest for his once monotonous life. Fay Ripley will return to play Perrin's wife, Nicola. Wendy Craig, Geoffrey Whitehead, Neil Stuke, Kerry Howard, Jim Howick and Alexander Armstrong will also feature.
